Sometimes you get lucky. This for sure was one of those times. Inge called me while she was walking with the kids that she had spotted a raptor that had caught a dove. Thinking I'd never make it in time I continued with work, while Inge continued her walk. Then on the way back she sent me another message (some 20 minutes later) that it was still there. So I decided to grab my gear and get over there. I got lucky as I managed to snag five-six shots before the Goshawk decided it was too busy on the road. It's always special when you get a chance to get an encounter like this.
I was working with harsh light so these are definitively not the best photos, but having such an encounter a few 100 meter from my home (while living in the city) makes it a memorable experience nonetheless.
