The hides from Han Bouwmeester are another great place to spend a day (or a few days in). They are set up professionally and by using them you are also contributing to local wildlife preservation.
For my trip I got lucky to get a long sighting of a Goshawk. Raptors are such majestic animals and it's always a pleasure to see them when out.

The most surprising sighting of the day however was not the Goshawk but was a pine marten coming for a drink. Unfortunately something scared it just as I was taking the shot and the only shot I managed to get was a blurry one (I should have increased the ISO, but that's hindsight). Still a fantastic and very much unexpected encounter!
Unfortunately this pine marten got spooked just as I was about to click. Still a fantastic sighting to get in a hide!
