A one day workshop in Vledder, in the Netherlands to photograph European tree frogs. It was nice to get the macro photography gear out once again to focus on the smaller creatures of the world. I used my standard macro gear on this trip: Nikon D500, Sigma 105mm f/2.8 and Nikon R1C1 flash kit.
Edo van Uchelen organizes these one day workshops every year. You can book yourself a workshop through the link below

European Tree Frog (Hyla arborea)
The focus for this specific outing! As the name suggests, these stunning little frogs climb trees! They're surprisingly hard to spot (measuring between 3-5cm), but with a bit of luck and some sunshine you can find them sunbathing on top of the leaves.

First sighting for the day

While the focus of the workshop was on tree frogs there were a lot of other smaller animals to photograph.

Can you spot both vipers?
