I found this Common Gecko hiding in the shadow of one of the tables. It was extremely light so I'm not sure what the Gecko was thinking but it was just sitting there more or less in the middle of the living room. I took the opportunity to grab my macro lens and flash and took several photos of the Gecko. The flash combined with the tiles in our living room to create a sort of mirror effect.
I entered this photo in the Dutch photo competition in 2016 (fotowedstrijd.eu) and won first place in the Macro & Close-up category.
