Ubud Palace (Pura Dalem)
The first outing, a short walk away from our hotel, was the Ubud Palace. This was a great first introduction to the architecture and awesome statues found across Bali.
Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary (Mandala Wisata Wenara Wana)
Our second outing took us to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. The weather wasn't fully cooperating and it was somewhat misty and rainy. We did manage to spot some monkeys who were also not very enthusiastic about the weather.
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple (Pura Ulun Danu Batur)
We couldn't miss out to visit the Ulun Danu Beratan temple as well as the Botanical Gardens.
Jatiluwih Rice terraces
We started off our visit with a tea tasting which had some interesting flavors. After that we enjoyed a nice walk around the rice terraces.
Gunung Kawi (The Valley of The Balinese Kings)
These ancient royal tombs are a great site to visit.
Pura Tirta Empul (Hindu temple)
This stunning water temple is still in use. It was quite busy with worshipers going in for a bath in the holy spring water while we were there. There were a lot of nice statues around which I took the opportunity to photograph.
Ceking Rice Terrace (Tegallalang)
Ceking rice terrace is the most famous rice terrace on Bali. It's stunning, but it draws the crowds being the most famous meaning that timing is critical if you want to avoid the crowds.

Tanah Lot
While the temple itself is great, to get a really nice photo you just need to walk a bit down the beach. I played around while capturing the sunset trying some longer exposures to smooth out the sea.
Tibumana Waterfall
Our final excursion took us to Tibumana waterfall, and included some light walking around the surrounding area.
